Are about looks or performance , well oil coolers work great at keeping your oil temp low on your old cast iron shovel heads, but if you live in a cold shit hole or your not going to the next drag and want your chopper style this is a easy removal job , your oil feed line runs to the cooler and back around into the the oil pump remove the oil line and oil cooler, cut a length of hose to run direct feed from your oil tank straight to your oil pump, jobs done and looks alot cleaner and your away.
